Open Banking Expo: Women in Tech Need More ‘Visibility’

During a recent Women in Technology themed webinar, Enveil CEO Ellison Anne Williams offered insight into her experience.

Visibility is one of the hurdles faced by women in the technology industry, but finding a mentor or sponsor can help overcome this, according to speakers on a Women in Technology webinar hosted by Babel PR.

The webinar, titled ‘Assessing the tech industry’s efforts to empower women’, heard a number of tech leaders including Ellison Anne Williams, founder and chief executive officer of data security company Enveil. She said that she first encountered “gender issues” when she started her own company.

“Persevering past the noise and showing up with substance is what I’ve found to be very effective across my career,” she told the panelists, adding that it is also about finding “great mentors and great sponsors."
